Intergenerational Mentoring in the Process of Family Business Succession in Poland

Intergenerational Mentoring in the Process of Family Business Succession in Poland

As part of the transnational cooperation with the Polish consulting company DGA Spólka Akcyjna  and the Fundacja Sowelo for the project Intergenerational Mentoring in Business Succession in Polish Family Enterprises (Project No. MWSO-3-2019-98 of the ESF), we have developed a mentoring model which is tailored to the needs of particularly young successors in Polish family enterprises.

Handing over the leadership to (young) successors is a complex process, not only in family businesses. When handing over the management from the founders to the next generation, special attention must be paid to some specific issues.

Professional support from mentors, based on a mentoring program tailored to the specific needs of the familz run businesses, helps the companies and all stakeholders involved not only to transfer the knowledge held by the predecessors to the successors. Thanks to the support of appropriately trained mentors, difficulties and crises during the succession process can be avoided.

The international exchange and in this case especially the cooperation with our Polish partners and their experts is not only interesting and enriching. The experiences of all experts involved contribute to offering companies a mentoring program that is tailored to their needs, making the transition process much easier.

Our Polish partners train the mentors according to the model developed by our experts and offer mentoring services to interested Polish family run businesses for individuals and groups.
